Congrats to Drake with a 72-69 win.

UNI now has no inside defense without O'Rear. Drake just took it to UNI knowing there would be nobody underneath to stop them, I'm afraid thats going to be typical of UNI games from now on.

the Panthers need to learn to adapt though. Probably out of the conference race, but finish the season strong and play in the post season somewhere.

Really nice win for the team. A win against Creighton at home on Tuesday would make for a solid little winning streak and would really help us on our quest to get out of the play-in game.

Watching Rayvonte grow as a basketball player the next couple years is going to be a real treat.

only a CU collapse gets Drake out of thursday looking like a solid 7 seed right now

I didn't see that final coming. If Luke's absence hurts UNI that much, the rest of the year could be ugly.

I would disagree on Luke's absence being the only key. We missed 7 free throws, all by 80% shooters, made only 5 of 15 or 16 3-point attempts, gave up 72 points to a team that had previously scored 49 on us, and didn't force a third as many turnovers as we did in CF. Not all are because Luke was not there.

Very close game from start to finish. Didn't think my Bulldogs could pull it out, but very pleasantly suprised.

The two teams combined for only 7 turnover (4 for UNI, 3 for Drake)....don't think I've ever seen that before.

there is no doubt that there was more to this loss than missing Luke. The FT's hurt and that might have been the worst D I've seen from this Panther team during the conference season. Drake simply played better than UNI today.

Who knows to be honest? Drake has five games left and three of them are against the three teams directly ahead of them in the standings (vs. Creighton, @ Indiana State, vs. Evansville). Anything could happen, really. But yeah, a 7 seed is the most likely at this point.
