Indiana St at Illinois St - 2/9

Sycs will be without Jake Kelly who is battling mono.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Sports 10 has learned that Indiana State men's basketball player Jake Kelly has mono.

The ISU senior is out indefinitely, he will be re-evaluated next week. The Sycamore guard is third on the team in scoring at 9.3 points per game.

Kelly's two-year ISU career has been hampered by injuries. Last year, 12 games into the season and the guard suffered a season-ending ACL injury in his left knee. This December in practice Kelly suffered a stress reaction in his left foot, which has sidelined him for several games this season.

I think that's actually a fitting mantra if the trees turn this thing around playing with lesser talent but the will to win...Indiana (as in UE and INSU) Basketball is on the rise!

Sad to say, the state of college basketball in Illinois is looking bleak, especially in the valley.

8. SIU 5-9
9. ISU 3-10
10. BU 2-11

Illinois can't win a road game. Northwestern is still Northwestern. UIC dead last in their conference. Loyola 3rd to last in their conference. DePaul is dead last in their conference. NIU is in the middle of their division, but at 3-6 it doesn't look good for them either.

Funny part is that 2 of our 3 wins are against SIU and BU. One against 7th place drake and 2 of which that are OT wins. :pull collar:

Birdman, I thought you said we were going to get crushed back a few weeks ago???? You were almost right!lol wow for about 30 minutes of this game we were trying to say, "hey redbirds you wanna win? Its all yours!" This is as frustrating of a team in the history of mankind lol
