I think firing Les was a real mistake by Bradley. With their loss of players this year no coach would have been able to do anything with the team to speak of. I think the Valley lost a good coach and I hate to see that.

Well, that makes Chris Lowery the Dean of the Valley.

Congrats to Bradley for making a decision that should have happened at the end of LAST season! cant do worse than 0 for January folks...and that's what we were. I look forward to a coach who can teach rebounding and defense, two stats consistently LAST in the league during Les's tenure. Thanks for 2005-06...best memories ever but there needs to be more of them more often. Moving on!

oh, and if any of you go over to their board and dont see a lot of support for BU's decision, please realize the gestapo admins there have banned nearly everyone with a disparaging opinion of Les. I know of at least 25 people who were banned in the last two weeks alone

You will hire a new coach and give him a 4-5 year contract.

During year two your fan base will start yelling for his head when Bradley University finishes in the lower half of the Valley.

During year three the yelling will get louder when the Braves finish in 4th place, but fail to win the MVC tournament.

After year five, and no NCAA tournament appearances the big money backers will demand a new coach.

The cycle repeats itself the next five years.

Firing a coach makes the fans feel good and gives them hope............................
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

Not many coaches can keep their job after back to back 20 point losses to a coach that gets fired a week later.

Has anyone from Illinois seen how much the buyout for Les was?? Heard he had 3 years left on a contract that was worth about 1.5 mil :? All kind of rumors out there ranging from 600K up...Holy Schnikees

Every coach in the last 30 years (even Les) danced by the end of Year 4. We have higher standards than Evansville, so yes if by Year 5 we aren't in the NCAA's time to start over.

Should a guy ever lose his job? Why even keep track of wins and losses? Let's just give everyone a ribbon and tell Little Johnnie he's doing well. Good job Johnnie! You're a winner!
