Glance announced on Wednesday the addition of Minnesota transfer guard Janelle Cannon.
A 5-foot-8 guard, Cannon was enrolled at summer classes at Minnesota before transferring so she will not be eligible to play at ISU until the 2011-12 season with four years of eligibility remaining.
"She's really versatile," Glance said. "I like her athleticism, finesse and passing ability. Her strength is breaking down defenses and creating shots for herself or other people. Janelle has the potential to be a great player at ISU."
Cannon was ranked as the No. 40 shooting guard in the nation by Scouts, Inc. out of Wheeling High School. She averaged 19.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists as a senior.
Glance believes Cannon, as well as Wisconsin transfer Jamie Russell, could play either point guard or shooting guard with the Redbirds.
Both Cannon (Minnesota) and Russell (Wisconsin) can not play until the 2011-12 season.
