For those of you that watched Bradley last year you would remember what an awful shooting team it was. Hopefully Geno Ford addressed that. Bradley got a commitment from shooting guard Omari Grier tonight.
Grier is a transfer from Florida Atlantic who will have three years of eligibility at Bradley starting in 2013-14. He is 6-4, decent athlete, and a supremely accurate three-point shooter. He did have a weird, Jekyll and Hyde freshman season at FAU. He had a great nonconference season--best freshman in the Sun Belt, then in league play he got in the doghouse or something because he hardly played.
Here is his stats breakdown
13 nonconference games
11.1 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 37 of 83 from three, 44.5%, played 22 minutes a game (27 pts v. Miami, 20 pts v. USF)
12 conference games --- 5 DNP
14 total points, 3 for 15 from three, about 8 minutes a game
Overall he averaged 6.3 ppg and shot 40% from three.
