BEARS SIGN 2012 HOUSTON AREA WING

MSU got a late 2012 signee in Texas wing Mike Simpson, a 6'6 guard from Klein Collins HS in Spring, Texas.
Averaged about 16 ppg and 5 rbs as a senior. Nice lanky athlete with a solid perimeter game and athletic enough to finish above the rim in traffic. Added to both Marshalls this year and Ruder next, the Bears have now addressed a glaring need for some perimeter shooting . We will be young, young, young in 2012/13 with 4 true frosh and 2 rs freshman as well. Still have a scholy , but might pocket that unless we can find a one year transfer type who help with post depth. We will be pretty small for a year w/o that, with only freshman Bruce Marshall above 6'7, but we have 6'11 Tyler McCullough coming in 2013 and are looking at a couple nice pf still in the 2013 class.
