Creighton lands 6'9 Zach Hanson of SD

This big kid (240) who had offers from Arizona St., Nebraska, Missouri, Gonzaga and others has been playing nicely in AAU this summer and getting even more big school looks so this surprises me a little. Really nice get for CU as he replaces Echineque's bulk in this class.

Creighton is killing it in recruiting. All 4 year guys too which helps. Hanson was a hug priority from what I've heard and he passed up BCS offers to join CU.

Really great job by CU staff identifying and offering guys early. Being first in the pool with Hegner and Hanson was key before they blew up.

Landing Hanson was a big deal for CU. Had offers from Missouri, Iowa St, and Gonzaga (and would have probably received offers from Wisky and Minnesota after this evaluation period). Mac and his staff are really doing a good job closing.
