All four of Creighton's 2011 verbal commits signed this morning.

- Austin Chatman
- Avery Dingman
- Geoff Groselle
- Nevin Johnson

The Jays have one more scholarship to offer and will look to sign another in the Spring or hold it for the 2012 class.

According to Rivals, this is the 8th best non-BCS recruiting class and tops in the Valley.

Bears got letters from their 3 verbals...

Official release

Committing to play for the Bears on Wednesday (Nov. 10) during the early signing period were: Christian Kirk (6-7, 220, F, Springfield, Mo.), Dorrian Williams (6-2, 170, G, Oklahoma City, Okla.) and Andrew (Drew) Wilson (6-7, 200, F, Tulsa, Okla.).

"This is a great start to our recruiting class for next season," said Martin. "I feel all three of these young men are quality players, impressive individuals and they all have the skill and ability to fit well within our system."

Kirk, who transferred this fall to Kickapoo High in Springfield after competing at St. Charles (Mo.) West High the last two years, has a 40-inch vertical jump and is viewed as solid catch for Martin's staff. Both ESPN.com and Rivals.com rate Kirk as a three-star prospect who rebounds well, runs the floor and can finish off the dribble.

Kirk's versatility is viewed as his strength after he scored 17.9 points per game for coach Terry Hollander at SCW as a junior with 8.8 rebounds, 114 assists and 49 blocked shots. He averaged 14.9 points and 5.9 rebounds as a sophomore for the Warriors. He is ranked as the No. 3 senior in Missouri by ESPN.com.

Williams is also a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and ESPN.com recruiting sites and helped lead Douglass High in Oklahoma City to a perfect 29-0 season in 2009-10. He averaged 11.2 points as a junior for coach Terry Long to go with 4.0 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game.

He has a reputation as a lock-down defender and an athletic point guard who can play both guard positions. He possesses a good mid-range game and a solid three-point shot to go with good floor vision. His Trojans, who return all five starters from last year's Oklahoma 4A championship team, will appear at JQH Arena in January for the annual Bass Pro Tournament of Champions.

Wilson is a long and athletic, power forward who is rated by ESPN.com as the No. 6 overall senior in the state of Oklahoma. He averaged 15.0 points, 14.1 rebounds and 4.2 blocked shots per game as a junior for coach Beau Wallace at East Central High in Tulsa. The Cardinals finished 21-6 in Class 5A a year ago and advanced to the state semifinals.

He is also regarded as a good offensive and defensive rebounder who excels in transition. According to Martin, his game is solid inside and outside, and he has good upside and potential. He has a reputation as a competitor on the glass who can also get baskets in heavy traffic.

Coach Martins comments about each one

Christian Kirk 6'7" 220lb PF : “Christian’s 6-7, 220pounds and a really good athlete, a runner and jumper. He’s physical for high school, but he’ll also be physical at this level and will be a really good athlete. People take for granted his athleticism on the high school level because he’s so big and physical, but he’s such a good athlete, just the way he runs the floor with tip-dunks and so forth, he will be a quick fit here.”

Drew Wilson 6'7" WF: “He’s very similar to Christian in the type of athlete he is. He’s 6-7, 200 pounds. He’s a runner and a jumper who can really get out into the lanes and gets around the basket, can tip-dunk, is a very aggressive rebounder. He’s probably a little more perimeter-oriented than Christian is.”

Dorrian Williams 6'2" CG: “He’s a guy who can push the ball and can get it off the glass and go. He’ll understand the physical toughness part when he comes to this level just from what his high school team does and the way they compete. He will obviously have to mature mentally as he goes on, but physically, he’ll be ready.”
