SIU lands 2014 SG Chaz Glotta

Chaz Glotta committed to the Salukis last night. Averaged 26 ppg, and an 83% free throw shooter. He's exactly the type of guard SIU needs right now.

I disagree. Exactly the type of guard SIU needs is a forward.

You all need some size.

Other than not being 6-8, he sounds pretty good.

Pretty sure SIU won't return anyone over 6'7" next season.... Maybe they're going to try a five guard offense?

SIU needs to improve at every position. Every player on the current roster needs recruited over. I would love some bigs, I am OK at improving at the guard position. Especially if it is a shooter/scorer also being recruited by Ivy League schools.

SIU needs Shooters/Scorers/Bigs/Better Citizens. This kid appears to be 3/4, not a bad recruit at all.

I coached with Chaz's father "Charles Glotta" at Kapaun in Wichita. Chaz had lots of Wichita connections but WSU is focusing on bigs for 2014. I think Chaz will be a terrific player for SIU and I'm looking forward to watching him in Wichita. Hinson got a good one and got him to commit early. Congrats from a diehard Shocker fan.
