Shockers land A&M transfer

6-5 sophomore guard Payton Allen has committed to WSU. He will be eligible to play in 2016-17. Presumably he will join JR Simon, Conner Frankamp, Zach Bush, and 6-9 freshman Brett Barney as walk-ons this season.

ISU and Bradley fans are familar with Peyton Allen as he played his HS ball at Chatham Glenwood HS just outside of Springfield, IL. Bradley recruited him hard the first time around when Geno Ford was the coach.

The fact he left A&M was predicted the day he committed. His dad is one of those heavily involved dads.

He's a decent player. An MVC player. Not a difference maker for Wichita but I see him filling a role there. He's not Ron Baker. He's a good shooter, pretty good player but not known for his defense or toughness.

I saw a tweet that Allen has left WSU for "personal reasons". Can any WSU fan confirm?
