Mike Gesell 4 star PG from S. Sioux City

Big time prospect on the radar of lots of schools. He was at the CU game this weekend. I don't remember the details but he has a family connection to McDermott.

I think I read that McDermott coached his brother at Wayne State...don't quote me though.

Mike's older bro played for Mac at Wayne St. and Mike was the ball-boy for the team. Good connections already made between Mac & Mike but Mike will b getting high major offers so he might be a reach. I know Nebraska has made him a priority.

Deal with Mike: He's 6'0-6'1. In a BCS conference he will be forced to play the point, which he is more than capable of doing. But his true skills are at the two where he can get to the hoop or pull up and hit a mid-range jumper. He can play as a Combo/True SG in the Valley. Question is what's it worth to him to play at a "BIG*" school

Mike just put up 41 in a game that Doc Sadler was attending. Might come down to Nebraska, Creighton and Iowa.

Thanks I couldn't recall the exacts. I've seen him play a couple of times and can honestly say that Mike Gesell would be an absolute star at Creighton. I have my fingers crossed.

Didn't realize Gesell was that athletic...Funk was more athletic than some may think...

Gesell is dominating Nebraska HS hoops. Mcdermott was at his game the other night sitting in the front row. Pretty clear that he is Creighton recruiting target #1.
