Loyola lands two local talents

Old news now, but it was never posted here. A few weeks ago Loyola landed a pair of top 10 players in the state in 6'6'' wing Ben Schweiger out of Waubonsie and 6'3'' guard Ty Johnson out of DePaul Prep.

I feel like everyone's going to be saying this, but these are two players who I think really would have raised their profile had they been able to play AAU this summer. Schweiger is a classic mismatch wing in the mold of Tate Hall and Donte Ingram, while Ty Johnson's trajectory is super similar to that of Marquise Kennedy. A bit under the radar in the Catholic League but put up huge numbers as a junior. Love his shooting ability and speed. Both had a good amount of MM/MM+ offers. SIU and Loyola have done a great job recruiting the state this season.
