SIU gets verbal from '25 guard Luke Walsh

SIU's first verbal for the class of 2025 is an exciting one: 6-2 guard Luke Walsh, a sharpshooter from St. Louis (Vianney HS). There has been heavy mutual interest between SIU and Walsh going back to Mullins' tenure, but Saluki fans were nervous he was going to blow up out of reach. He visited Saint Louis and SIU on back-to-back days early this summer, and it seems like several SLU fans on the good ole internet are not thrilled he's going elsewhere.

If Drew Steffe pans out as hoped and sticks around, he and Walsh could be an elite 1-2 shooting punch in future seasons.
