Marshall definitely uses his bigs in a more traditional role most of the time. He's pounded it into every team he's had here that they need to work inside out and a big key to that is a big man on the block.

Orukpe, Hall, Stutz, Durley were all players that were quite capable of playing with their backs to the basket and spent the majority of their time either posting up or screening. Durley and Stutz were also capable of scoring from the perimeter, but that was usually on a pick and pop.

Marahall runs a 4 in 1 out offense with the SF, PF, C all inside at one point or another through the set.

Stephen Hurt is scheduled to take a visit to WSU on Sept. 13. Here is his juco recruiting ranking by this article. As you can see from his picture above, he is one big and athletic man.

Hurt would be a major, major get for sure. Good luck.

FYI--#44 on the list, Rodell Wigginton of Central Fla JUCO, took an official visit to Bradley this past weekend.

I can't confirm this, but Internet posts indicate that the Indiana's Rivals page says that WSU is the leading candidate for Hurt. If needed, I could provide links that say the WSU visit is definite and the Indiana visit is "tentative". Hurt also says he's looking to make a decision in early October.

Speculating on any aspect of recruiting is generally an exercise in failure, but I have to think that WSU is in a good position with Hurt. That and $4 will get me a cup of coffee at Starbuck's.

Should WSU sign Hurt, that would give the Shox two years of a C/PF rotation with Shaq Morris (6'8", 280) and Hurt (6'10", 280). Morris can play PF. Morris played PF in the TX/OK HS All-Stars game and was the MVP of that game while playing PF at 280.

2014 Dallas County (AL) PF William Lee is down to Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, UAB & Wichita State

Lee is ESPN's #17 2014 PF http://espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/playerrankings/_/position/power-forward/class/2014/view/position

He's got an official at WSU set for Oct. 17, which will be his last official visit. Oct. 18 is when ESPN is in the house to film Shocker Madness and the F4 ring ceremony.

Lee averaged 15 blocks per game last year. Has the unofficial HS record for blocks with 26 in a game. Averaged a triple double with 18 points and double-digit boards as a Jr. He says he wants to feel like family and wants to run up and down the court and be involved in fast breaks. Every recruit that visits says it feels like family at WSU, but I believe they say that about every school. The style of game fits WSU well, so WSU might be able to land this whale.

He's thought to be leaning toward Georgia or Alabama, but it's good to be on his final list in September and get his last official visit set.

Lee's WSU visit is actually scheduled for Oct 12, not the 17th, according to his ESPN page.

I saw that. I recall running into the 10-17 date somewhere, but I'm not finding it now. I thought the 10-17 date was possibly more recent than the ESPN date.

Having a key visit for the F4 ring ceremony makes sense, but since I'm not finding it again, I'm starting to think 10-12 may be the correct date. 10-12 is Saturday. 10-17 is a Thursday. From that, 10-12 makes more sense.
