Pair of verbals for MSU

Postby BEARZ77 » January 9th, 2012, 5:27 pm

The Bears have picked a couple verbals recently. The first was for a 2013 post player, Tyler McCullough of Fayetteville HS in Arkansas. The 6'10 240 lb junior verballed in mid December.

Of more immediate help, today the Bears received a verbal from juco power forward, Dequan Hicks, 6'7, 230 lbs from New Mexico JC. The sophmore from Racine Wis. is averaging 12.5 ppg and 8 rbs on a balanced squad. Juco Junction publisher Brent Swanson comments, " [Hicks] really finishes around the rim with his good skill set. He plays with a lot of passion and he is a great interior passer."
The Bear is the largest carnivore on the North American continent; beware the Bear!

Yes I'm afraid that's true. Big loss for us.

Have heard different reasons as to why, and whom did the pulling back. Some say he's having problems off the court. Others are saying that something has happened unexpectedly and he wants to be closer to home.

Either way, looks to be a tough loss for the Bears
