Wichita State after high profile bigs in 2014

Here's an article from today's Wichita Eagle on some of the recruits that are taking visits to WSU:

http://www.kansas.com/2013/08/24/296198 ... s-has.html

Shox are hopeful for Stephen Hurt. He's likely to be a top 10 JUCO at 6-10, 280 and already posted a double-double against Kentucky as a freshman.

Sean O'Mara is also being recruited by Loyola and is a top 150 player.

Isaiah Wilkins is a three star prospect and Rasheed Worrell (6-8, 210) and Terrell Miller (6-8, 250) are under the radar.

Omar Sherman (6-8, 240) is also taking a visit and is currently a Scout top 100.

Wilkins is also ranked Rivals #123.

I like our chances with Hurt and Wilkins. Definitely Hurt. The dude has put some work in in the weight room! Holy crap lol.

I kind of have a feeling O'Mara goes to Loyola. Would love to see him as a Shocker too though. Gonna suck playing against him 4 years if he does choose Loyola....

I think Sherman goes to Miami or K State. Probably Miami.

I think Worrell is ours if we offer.

I think we are in good shape with Miller, but not sure he is the top target.

A lot to like about the recruits WSU are in on. Gotta land some though!!!

Truthfully though if we can land any 3 of: O'Mara, Hurt, Wilkins, Sherman or Miller I will be VERY happy. And I think I will end up being VERY happy. Any of them to go with Zachary Brown (already committed) would make for a stellar class!

I'm kind of surprised Wichita is going hard after Sean O'Mara. He is a good player but I don't see him fitting what the Shox are trying to do.

I think the Shox see him as a versatile big that can defend and pass in the post. He's 6-9, 240 and can defend. He's not the athletic stretch 4 we've been seeing, but I think he fits as a post.

Now we just need to sign one or more.

Agree with this. O'Mara is skilled but not overly athletic. He was rated high from a young age with the idea that he would keep growing to 7 foot or close to it. I think he would be a good (not great) get for an MVC school.

Agreed. Of course Gregg Marshall knows more about what he is doing than I do.

I know the Bradley coaches liked O'Mara but weren't in love with him, FWIW.

He is an MVC level player--not much higher than that.

So, I get what you are saying, and that kinda sucks, but I've never seen him play other than a couple of 60 sec clips. Why is he rated highly by the recruiting services if he is so-so?

Rivals: Three Star, #141 in the country, offers from: Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa St., Virginia, BCU, Dayton, DePaul, Marquette, Saint Louis, others.

Scout: Three Star, #25 center (top 150), offers from: ULC, UMass, Seton Hall, Wake Forest, WSU, Xavier

247Sports: Three star, #181 nationally, # 15 center (#12 in Illinois), offers from: Xavier, ULC

Let me guess. Marquette, Virginia, wake forest, etc. etc. etc. coaches all know more than Bradley coaches?
