Ridder seeking waiver

Being reported that the Bears are having to request a waiver for Ridder or else he will not be eligible till second semester. The NCAA is totally asinine; kid left Xavier in Sept, enrolled at MSU about 4-5 weeks into semester, sat all last year and still they aren't clear on his status, while you have kids who played the entire year last year at their former Universities and are being granted eligibility. So kids like Neese at ISU and Ridder could be robbed of a half year of their eligibility, even though they never played a minute elsewhere, while others are granted movement and eligibility immediately. For MSU it probably doesn't impact a post season spot, although you never know, it's the fact it penalizes the student athlete for no reason if the waiver isn't granted. What will be absurd is if we are granted a waiver on one of our other transfers, all who played elsewhere last year, while Ridder who sat at MSU the entire year isn't.
The Bear is the largest carnivore on the North American continent; beware the Bear!

You are assuming the NCAA cares about doing right by the players.
