Belmont got a commit over the weekend from 6'9 guard/forward Eion Dillon that plays at Peoria Notre Dame. I've heard he's kind of a late bloomer. Averaged 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals while shooting 40% from 3 point range and 85% from free throw line. His numbers were probably a little affected last year playing next to Iowa Recruit Cooper Koch, another 6'9 big man that can hit the outside shot. Cooper's Dad, JR Koch starred at Iowa and had a nice stint with the Knicks back in the day.
Dillon had offers from Indiana State, Bradley, Toledo, Eastern Illinois, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Illinois State, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, American, Loyola Maryland, Stonehill, Dartmouth and St. Thomas.
Will be interesting to see how Dillon's senior year plays out as Koch transferred across the river to Metamora, who are the defending 3A state champs in Illinois.
