Biggest positive surprise: Youngstown giving Michigan State a game for a while.

Biggest negative surprise: I think I have to go with Western dropping a game against an average Southland team. I'm gonna give both Indiana State and Missouri State passes as they were way overmatched in their contests and you can't really pass judgement on either, though it would have been nice to see a little more fight (Indiana State was out of it on the kick-off).

I was encouraged to see SDSU beat, what is usually a pretty decent Southern Utah program. I think the Jacks have what it takes to finish #3 or 4 in the conference and make the playoffs
