I'm not crazy about Greg but Doug is an 18 year old kid and doesn't deserve to hear some of the stuff that the panthernation people will deliver. The funny thing about it is that I'm sure Ben and his team will show great sportsmanship so that should make for an interesting contrast. If any of you remember what it was like for Kevin Love when he played at Oregon (his dad played there and he grew up in that state) then I think this will be a similar situation. Oregon received a ton of negative press for the signs, voice mails, threats, etc. I just hope no one in the crowd decides to get physical or anything. End of rant on this subject.
I see an inspired CU led by Doug coming out with the W. CU will control tempo and the master will show the pupil a thing or two. They nearly overcame a hostile crowd in Springfield and so they'll be well seasoned for a smaller although more volatile crowd in Cedarloo or whatever they call it.
Well for the sake of the Valley, the McDermott's are going to get treated very poorly.
#1- We've always hated Creighton.
#2- A lot of people were mad when Greg went to ISU, now he goes to a conference foe and takes our best recruit.....don't expect a plate of cookies.
Hey I understand both of those points even I don't totally grasp the vitriol. My issue would mostly be with Doug. It seems that a lot of people are really directing their anger at him. And that I don't understand because he was just following his dad. I know he has a lot of friends there in that area and I don't think it is fair for people to boo Doug. So UNI fans am I wrong on this one? Who do you despise more Greg or Doug or both equally?
More Greg, but Doug broke his commit at the last possible second, whether his dad was involved or not.
They're both going to get it.
