What are you talking about? It not like WSU is 11-8 with Mid 80's RPI, they are 15-4 with 44 RPI. Yeah, WSU has lost a couple close games at home, but it is not like their has been the collapse like the pre-season favorite had last year.
You don't go 4-0 on the road in the MVC winning by double digits with no team chemistry. You don't win a 3-OT with no team chemistry.

Um, what? The pre-season favorites last year went 15-3 in the Conference, 25-4 overall and ran away with the league. Interesting defintion of collapse.
As for the Shocks, they still control their destiny. It means winning on the road to make up for the two home losses-but they still have that chance and don't need "help" from anyone if they win out.

I know in your mind it is always about UNI, but the preseason favorite was Creighton that I was talking about from last year. They started out the season as the topped rank MVC team in the polls and with the highest expectations until they lose 3 of their first 5 and quickly became irrelevant.

The Panthers are a near unanimous pick to win this year, receiving 38 of 39 first-place votes in a poll conducted by league coaches, media, and sports information directors. UNI earned 389 out of a possible 390 points and outdistanced Creighton, which received the remaining first-place tally and 336 total points.
The Panthers - also picked to win by The Sporting News College Basketball Preview, Lindy's College Basketball Preview, and Athlon Sports College Basketball Preview -

Please, do you really care what the different media members from the MVC are predicting? What is their accuracy? Not very good and their logic is usually questionable.
The pre-season national perception in the coaches poll expected CU to be the best team in the MVC. ESPN Coaches Preseason Coaches Poll had CU was ranked 45th and UNI was 54th.
