Nov. 7 vs. Wisconsin-Parkside (Cancun Prelim 1)
Nov. 10 vs. SEMO
Nov. 14 vs. Jacksonville St (Cancun Prelim 2)
Nov. 17 @ UIC
Nov. 20 vs. SMU (Cancun)
Nov. 21 vs. Penn St/Wright St (Cancun)
Nov. 24 vs. Chicago St
Nov. 28 @ IUPUI

Dec. 1 vs. New Mexico (MVC-MWC Challenge)
Dec. 4 @ Arkansas - Little Rock
Dec. 15 vs. Eastern Illinois
Dec. 18 @ Georgia Southern
Dec. 22 vs SE Louisiana

I was hoping that Bradley could reach into their scheduling top hat and pull out at least a rabbit and maybe even a mink. No- This looks like another skunk so a new top hat and some opened windows might be their first order of business.

Yes I know that scheduling is difficult but Bradley should be an excellent team and good teams should be able to find other good teams.

I'm not happy about it. Here's the RPI for the teams.

Nov. 7 vs. Wisconsin-Parkside (D2)
Nov. 10 vs. SEMO (255 RPI)
Nov. 14 vs. Jacksonville St (135)
Nov. 17 @ UIC (208)
Nov. 20 vs. SMU (117) (Cancun)
Nov. 21 vs. Penn St (45)/Wright St (98) (Cancun)
Nov. 24 vs. Chicago St (338)
Nov. 28 @ IUPUI (292)
Dec. 1 vs. New Mexico (119) (MVC-MWC Challenge)
Dec. 4 @ Little Rock (308)
Dec. 15 vs. EIU (262)
Dec. 18 @ Georgia Southern (143)
Dec. 22 vs. Southeastern Louisiana (148)

It's being sold as "6 teams in the top 150", but only one of them is in the top 100 (Penn St/Wright St, whichever we draw). New Mexico and SMU are probably good bets to climb into the T100. @GA Southern might be a Q2 game. Other than that it's cupcake city.

Uggg...Wardle must have gained 150lbs and started wearing sweater vests. Barry was afraid he was going to be alone this season at GiGi's.

For what it is worth I would assign them with a 35% chance at 3 or more loses, a 30% chance for only 2, a 25% chance for only 1 and a 10% chance for an OOC sweep.

I guess they could get past this with a superficially impressive record but their SOS should definitely suffer. Let me add that prior to their schedule release I had them (best case) modestly outside of the top 50. I hate to put a number on their worst case but it has now been revised to the wrong direction. :Bam:

I know where I've come to with evaluating scheduling at the midmajor level and for MSU and other MVC teams. There's no doubt that it is a difficult task and that a number of factors can greatly influence the quality of a schedule year to year. Things like the other participants in early season tourneys including the assigned games against low level opponents and the year to year quality of teams when you sign contracts for 2-4 years are often outside your control. The fact you probably get turned down more than you hit on attempts to get anything beyond a buy game at their place with top level P-5 teams is a reality. Obviously when a Valley team has a series of successful seasons it both helps and hurts in that you have more appeal for attracting better deals from midlevel P-5 teams [ as we saw with WSU/UNI and now ISUr] but also some teams will now shy away because of fear of a loss to a MM . Like I said, lots of factors.

But you know what; i get so tired of hearing all the excuses and crying by coaches about how tough it is when they trot out a crap schedule, because you know what, it's their job and others are getting it done with the same limitations and factors. Whatever your job is in life, there are aspects of it that are difficult to perform well, but that's what you're paid for and that's what separates the good ones from the rest. You either get it done or you don't; that's just the way it is.

That is FANTASTIC but where is the VCU game? Also Chicago State seems a bit out of place. Are they attached to your MTE? Lastly, is Baylor a buy game?

Symbols released on Twitter have a city and a cat. That's Chicago State Cougars and no they aren't attached to the MTE (although I'm holding out hope for Northwestern Wildcats) but I imagine Dan wants an easy game going into the MTE. I imagine Baylor is a buy game. We don't know yet. Since there is 31 games I imagine one of the unknown games is a D2 teams and I'm guessing that is the game directly after the MTE as Dan also likes easy games after the MTE. NO VCU CONTRACT. Don't know where that came from. They did play a H&H vs VCU a few years ago.
