2019 commitment for Drake

This is old (about a month ago) news, but it doesn't look like previously posted here.

Drake received a commitment from Issa Samake, a 6'7" forward from a tiny Christian high school in Des Moines. Samake is originally from the African country of Mali. Samake is very athletic and has a 7'5" wingspan. He's a little raw, but is developing a decent 3-point touch. Verbalcommits listed that he had an offer from Iowa State, but that's disputed. He did have an offer from Tulsa.

Seems like a really solid get for the Bulldogs. Like the combination of length and shooting touch and seems like they beat out at least one decent program to get him. Glad to see them recruiting and recovering well under their new coach. Hopefully their new coach sticks around for awhile and has some loyalty to the program unlike his predecessor.

I like Samake. He's really raw but there's no doubt about the athleticism or potential. He's a kid that could be a pretty solid contributor by the time it's all said and done.
