UNI 2020 CG- Tytan Anderson

UNI is rolling on the recruiting trail right now.

Picked up a commitment from 2020 6-6 Combo Guard Tytan Anderson from the Quad Cities. This happened really fast as he was just offered late last week. Not a ton known about him other than he's described as 'supremely athletic' by the Des Moines Register and his dad had a long career in the old CBA and overseas. Played his first year of high level AAU ball this past summer and actually 'played up' a grade. Looks like a kid that's a great athlete that Jake thinks he can make into a player.

This is UNIs first 2020 commit and that leaves 3 more rides available in that class (replacing Dahl, McDonnell, Brown and Haldeman).

Is this type of early commitment common for UNI? I'm always weary of getting excited about kids anywhere who decide so early.

Didn't Green commit to UNI really early? I know with his being from Cedar Falls it was kind of a special case but still.

Not terribly unusual for UNI to get a commitment this early.

James Betz who comes in next year committed before his sophomore year. Kerwin Dunham, Jordan Eglseder, Brooks McKowen, Austin Phyfe and Marc Sonnen were all really early commits too. The last two Koch brothers were too but that was a different situation, of course.

AJ didn't commit until the day before school started last year. He looked pretty hard at Virginia and Iowa State before deciding to stay home.
