What are the tie-breakers in the MVC? What if there is a three way tie at the end of the season?

It'll be the same tie breaker that's been used for several years. First head to head matchups, then the point system. The point system is pretty simple, who beat the most highest ranked teams in the Valley...so basically you get more points for beating WSU than let's say Creighton. If there is a tie after points, they go to coin flip.

The point system is toast.

Head to head (even with multiple teams)

Non-Conference SOS

The second tiebreaker is really RPI, which is a little more than non-conference SOS. It obviously includes Valley games.

Interestingly, a couple of days ago when I looked (Monday?), Indiana State and UE had the exact same RPI. Of course, it wouldn't have mattered because UE won in the head-to-head.

The 2nd tiebreaker is the RPI's non conference SOS, not the entire RPI

I stand corrected. Looks like the Valley finally updated its website to get rid of the now-dead points system.
