Valpo finished the job today and that's not something I've been able to say very often this year. The team I saw today can beat anybody provided they shoot a bit better from outside but this level of performance from Valpo has been rare this year. I'm excited for tomorrow!
Whoa. Might want to slow down a bit, Valpo looked much better in this game than they have most of the year, but being honest about it Ind St played a big part in that. The fact that ISU was so aggressive on defense on the perimeter really played into Valpo’s hands. Yes, if Valpo learns to shoot, then they’ll be a tough out. Without Fazekas and his 43% shooting I don’t see that happening. For the season they’re at 32% from 3 counting his stats.
I fully expect Loyola to take the lack of 3 point shooting into consideration and be much less aggressive on the perimeter. Porter Moser > Greg Lansing.
