They are struggling down in Carbondale like everyone else this year... Down 28-26 to the Salukis at half. Lots of basketball left though. Berhow has 15 to lead the Panthers but everyone else is a no show.

I think SIU has got the right guy with Mullins. Their guys play hard and they're bringing back an identity. The way he shut down Crutwig was fun to watch and now he's taking AJ out of the game for UNI.

And for the love of god can someone explain to the color commentator that UNI is #300 in tempo and SIU is not "slowing them down?" It's driving me nuts.

I don't think there should be any doubt in anybody's mind that SIU has the right guy in Mullins. His year one results as the year has gone on have been impressive. It's understandable albeit a shame it took so long for things to begin to come together. Next year should be fun for them and for the entire conference.

The Ramblers non-con schedule was very unfavorable for at-large consideration. Had they been healthy early and eliminated any 4 of their 5 OOC losses they still could afford only one more regular season conference loss to remain in the thick of at-large consideration. I still think UNI might get in with 3 MVC reg-season losses. At least that is my hope.

How come an ESPN+ game (UNI at SIU) comes up as blacked out for my area? What is that all about?

This should put any at-large talk to bed. St. Louis or bust for all ten teams.

If UNI can reel off eight or nine after this we can maybe start talking about it again, but I don't think we are consistent enough to do that.

Real bummer of a performance. SIU plays some great defense, and our lack-of-defense allowed ya'll to go on a run, get confidence, and it all went downhill after that. Extremely similar to ISU Red. Hopefully we learn from this. Gotta play focused for all 40 minutes and against everyone on the schedule.

Huh? You guys are about to take the lead as I write this. And it will probably be a steamroller on these last five minutes.

What are you on about?

Gonna have to be the guy that says the refs have been atrociously in SIUs favor. No excuse to lose to a bad team but got zero favors in the process.

Blaming the refs is never a good look.

Are they really a bad team though? UNI is the first MVC road team not to lose in Carbondale by double digits. MVC road teams are 0-4 when they go on the road to play SIU. They haven't beaten slouchy teams either. ISUr Valpo Drake and now UNI. Can't dig that kind of hole and expect to climb out of it. Super valiant effort though.

Nice game, Salukis. Your team hit their shots and capitalized on turnovers.
