A.J. Green is unreal, that shot he hit to cut it to 1 was insane

They haven't beaten slouchy teams either. ISUr Valpo Drake and now UNI. Can't dig that kind of hole and expect to climb out of it. Super valiant effort though.

No I'm just being bitter. They look good. Unfortunately NET doesn't see it that way and I'm afraid we just blew out At-large chances

So are the multibid hopes done now? It feels like the race just opened up. If UNI can beat Loyola, any team with three or even perhaps four MVC losses who still has both teams on their schedule has some hope.

If UNI can reel off eight or nine after this we can maybe start talking about it again, but I don't think we are consistent enough to do that.

Real bummer of a performance. SIU plays some great defense, and our lack-of-defense allowed ya'll to go on a run, get confidence, and it all went downhill after that. Extremely similar to ISU Red. Hopefully we learn from this. Gotta play focused for all 40 minutes and against everyone on the schedule.

Huh? You guys are about to take the lead as I write this. And it will probably be a steamroller on these last five minutes.

What are you on about?

OK, I was wrong. But really, there was no reason to give up on UNI at that point.

You're probably right about the one-bid thing, unfortunately. Could still happen if UNI runs the table (and I wouldn't rule that out--they are so freaking good) for the rest of the season and then loses in Sunday to Loyola or Bradley.

Great job by the Saluki's to run a great gameplan and playing with a lot of intensity. Their crowd was excited, they caused and took advantage of many UNI mistakes and gave Jacobson a taste of some of his own medicine.

Unfortunately, I'll have an extremely bitter taste about this one as the officiating was simply inexcusable. Obviously I'm biased but it really felt like SIU's aggressive D was allowed to get away with much more than UNI. That flagrant foul on Green from being fouled by Brown was one of the strangest and dumbest calls I've seen. I just don't understand in what world that is a flagrant when the contact and foul was 100% initiated by the other party.

KenPom only dropped UNI from 47 to 48 after that, if UNI can beat Loyola twice and mostly run the table; I'd say there's still a shot at an at-large

Good rivalry win for Bradley without two All-Conference level guys. Eli Childs was already out and Darrell Brown didn't play either with a leg infury.

The ISU defense was god awful.

We were never going to win that one. If we had gotten over the hump, it would've been the first time since we blew the lead to A&M in the tournament that we had made a comeback. I get why someone on the outside would think what you thought, but even as we got it down to 3 at the media I knew we wouldn't get over the hump.

We aren't good enough to win 13 games in a row.

There is no at large hope left. A loss to a top 75 team as the 3rd loss...maybe. SIU is not going to climb that high. This loss combined with IlSt is all the committee needs to plug in a .500 P5 team instead. We've seen this so many times before and the system is only becoming more and more rigged.

The new flagrant rules don't really make sense to me. Seems like they're fixing a problem that isn't there. There have been really flukey flagrants against UNI in 3 of their last 4 losses now. And I've seen them in other games too. Unless it was blatantly obvious there was ill intent, why are we making these calls?

Kind of seems like instant replay in football. Sometimes the final decision leaves me flabbergasted. Its one thing to make a call in the moment, but to go to the booth and watch it, and come up with the decision they did? I think the problem lies more within how the rule is written than the referees though.
