A pickup that likely will fly a bit under the radar, the Bears get a verbal from 2021 6'2 guard Isaac Haney. Haney plays for small town Dora Mo. about 2 hours from Springfield; Dora is a class 1 level school, the smallest schools in Mo. He jumped up in a lot of recruiters attention when his school played Oklahoma Heritage Hall in a tournament earlier this year and he scored 32 and outplayed Trey Alexander who is the national #41 player in his class. Haney plays for former Bear Robert Yander's AAU team , Yander's Law in the summer and also drives the 2 hours twice a week in the off season to get additional work in at the Basketball Movement Gym founded by Yanders . Yander's Law also is the AAU team of Anton Brookshire who plays for Springfield Kickapoo and who also holds a MSU scholarship offer in the 2021 class. Bears would love to get a verbal from Brookshire as well, but his list of suitors is pretty long and stiff comp. Haney averaged 22 ppg as a frosh and 25 ppg as a sophmore. He's very skilled, needs to keep growing and fill out his frame a bit, but he can play .
The Bear is the largest carnivore on the North American continent; beware the Bear!
