A little mid-season bump.

I'm actually happy with where I'm at....

We all bought in to the Evansville hype hardcore.

Don't feel bad, we've been falling for the hype for 20 years. Third coach of the year is getting things settled down. He's much less about hype and more about results.

Lickliter will get you guys righted and ready for success. I'm very confident of that. And to be fair after that UK win it looked like that hype was VERY warranted. I know we haven't exactly been setting the world on fire but can Valpo get a little love for not being nearly as awful as most people claimed we'd be? I really think our future is very bright and we could very well contend next year. I know that's a tough thing to say in the Valley but we have a really strong recruiting class coming in and other than that we'll be another year older. Maybe still a little undersized though but our best recruit is a PF\C type who is breaking records at his high school set by none other than Sam Dekker. We're very excited about him!

I haven't seen anybody better the Domask. Green is as good.

Somewhat surprised to see the race so close between Green and Krutwig but Krutwig has put together a bunch of really solid games so it certainly makes sense that he is in the conversation right now.

Krutwig affects the game in so many more ways on both sides of the floor than Green with passing, rebounding, steals, and scoring. He leads the league in rebounding(Green is understandably outside the top 15), 5th in points (Green is 1st), 5th in fg efficiency (with 80 more shots than his nearest competition in the top 10... Green is outside the top 15 at 42.5%), 3rd in assists (4.3 total, highest among centers in the nation, Green is 8th in conference at 3.0), tied for 4th in steals with 1.3 a game (Green is outside the top 10 with only .6 a game)...

That said, Green leads the conference by far in shots/makes from distance, and some of the ones he's hitting are pretty nuts; to the point where you CAN'T stop him. He was so dominant against Drake it's hard for me to argue with it. He is also playing an obscene amount of minutes, behind only Domask. And his team is also in first place by a solid margin. So I understand why he's the front runner, even though I'm sad it probably won't be Krut!

With all of his blocks, do we think Robbins has the inside track for DPOY?

Wouldn't shock me at all. If he continues to develop offensively he could be a POY at some point or at least a very serious candidate. I'm very impressed with him.
