NIT

NCAA is the obvious goal, but who from the MVC has a legit chance at making the NIT besides the conference champ, whomever that might be, assuming that team fails in St. Lou?
Looking like many mediocre power 5 teams make the dance, which opens up the NIT for more mids. Thoughts?

Probably nobody, but Loyola Bradley and Indiana State look like they might have a chance just based on their NET rating and even then they'd need to improve their resumes a bit and hope for a lack of bid stealers to get in.

MVC teams need AT LEAST 23 wins to secure an at-large NIT spot. If Bradley or Loyola wins out until the finals they may get in. Then again they may not. 23-11 isnt a guarantee for MVC teams even in the second rate tournament.

Definitely agree. I think if any of these teams wins out (and loses in the Champ game), they'd prob make the NIT. Loyola may not even need to make it to the Champ game.

The number of wins don't matter as much as the NET.

Indiana State went to the NIT with an 18-win season in 2013.

I'd love to see multiple Valley teams in the NIT.

As a Bradley fan, I personally don't think we have any chance at an at-large NIT bit. We would have to lose a close game on Sunday to even be in the conversation for a 7-8 seed.

NIT is for the tenth to twelfth place teams from the Power 5 conferences.

Almost spot on, add in regular season Mid Major conference champs with gaudy records that don't win their conference tournament.

Unfortunately, the MVC team most likely to play in the NIT is UNI.

Would need very few bid thieves for LUC, BU, and InSU to have any chance.

In looking at last year's At Large teams in the NIT, the team with the worst NET was San Diego at 97.
