Very true, didn’t even notice I typed that.

Thank you, we are losers, but we are proud losers.

Haha, I am not chippy. We are too depressed to be chippy. Our flags are at half mast to pay respects to the death of a once storied MBB program.

In that spirit, what do you suppose Kurt Kanaskie is doing today?

Evansville still has to get by Valpo. Kanaskie might show up Thursday under the ruse of supporting Drake but lord knows which game he’ll actually be a nervous wreck for.

It'd be a miracle if they won more than a couple of games and they have come RIDICULOUSLY close even on the road to some huge upsets that would have shaken up the MVC race. Even in our games against them This Evansville team you a fellow Valpo fan call "a joke" and "basically a bye" lost to us by a COMBINED FOUR POINTS, and one of those games needed Overtime. The other one we nearly BLEW A DOUBLE DIGIT SECOND HALF LEAD AT HOME. What does that make us? We almost freaking LOST to this "joke" team TWICE amidst all their issues. We could ABSOLUTELY lose to this team and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we did as close as those matchups have been with them. They are WAY better than an 0-18 team. They are EXTREMELY unlucky.

The circumstances around why EU is awful this year does not change the fact that it’s still the easiest matchup in the Valley. I hope they get their first win against Valpo.

I hope this is more out of sympathy for Evansville than it is dislike for Valpo Otherwise I have no idea what I or any other Valpo fan did to deserve your or anybody's ire but to each their own.

The opening scene from Blue Chips tells the story of UE fans from right now to Thursday in St. Louis.

In the first entrance, Coach Pete Bell expresses our mood right now after today’s loss and 0-18.

In the second entrance, Coach Bell expresses our mood tomorrow.

In the first part of the third entrance Coach Bell expresses our mood from tomorrow to Wednesday night. “I can’t tell you ow sick I am of basketball right now…. If I never see another game in my life, that’s just fine by me.”

In the last part of the third entrance, Coach Bell expresses our mood come Thursday at 8:35 PM CT in St. Louis, “Now let’s win this ball game, let’s go!”

Did Evansville go 0-18 in conference? Yes. Absolutely.

Did they lose 5 conference games by a grand total of 15points, 2 of which went into overtime? Yes, absolutely.

Look we’re all aware of what happened this season, but for someone to call Evansville a bye in the first round is comical. Even more so when the opponent they’ll face in Arch Madness beat them by a combined 4 points in their two matchups. That was WITH Valpo’s best player, who may or may not be available due to mono.

In 1997, Drake rode into St. Louis at 1-25 (0-18 in the MVC). And then they beat Wichita State in the first round.

Never count any game as a sure win.

You guys are giving UE too much credit. This is a bad basketball team and they will be without Williams. Based on the easy shots they miss, the type of turnovers they make and their poor defense it is almost as if they are intentionally losing. This team is broken. It is not something that can be fixed between now and Thursday night.

A mediocre team looking ahead to Friday could indeed make a "bad joke" rather funny.

One thing is certain, if ILSU and UE somehow by divine intervention make it to Sunday, Elgin will insure it is the end of all 10 teams going to St. Louis. A decision I really couldn't argue with. Neither one of us really have any business playing another game, let alone potentially popping bubbles.

Fortunately for us, we won't be in a position to pop any bubbles unless we end up facing UNI on Sunday. If UNI makes it that far, they are probably in regardless, and the odds of us making it to that game are pretty much non-existent.

If any game has upset written all over it, it may be the Evansville-Valpo game. What will the Evansville Crowd be like?
