Who is next year's favorite?

I like Indiana State, Creighton, and Evansville with all the youth returning.

Ill. St. has some of the best young talent in the league. If they could add a decent juco point guard I could see them among the better teams in the MVC next year.

With 3 possible POY candidates returning in Dougie, AY, and Big Greg, Creighton should be the preseason favorite, but who knows.

I like WSU with all the experience returning.

Sr. Class:
Stutz - C
Ragland - PG
Murry - PG/SG/SF
Kyles - SG
Smith - SF

Jr. Class:
Orukpe - C
Williams - PG/SG

The obvious hole at PF has JuCo AA and potential #1 JuCo big man this year, Carl Hall (6'8"), and a 6'8" Fr (Jake White) who's averaging something like 26/12 this year. White is said to be a player quite a bit like the Koch brothers.

Another Fr is Evan Wessel (6'5") who's averaging something like 15 points, 8 boards, and 5 assists on a top-10 national HS team that has a top 50 prospect (Perry Ellis - 2012) in the front court.

It's delicate to discuss potential departures, but WSU is likely to have another scholarship open up - and possibly 2.

Agree on most points. Need rebounders though. Orukpe, will he come around? Hall, health? Still think Wessel's future is in football. Hamilton will be gone. Marshall has had good luck with spring juco signings.

1.IND ST- Richard and Odum make one of the best valley tandems. Solid role players around them and a couple guys who can come in right away and make an impact from their recruiting class. Remember the name Khristian Smith.
2. WSU- They reload with those 5 seniors and then add another JUCO star. Worry about the teams depth after the top 6 or 7 but their front line should be pretty stout.
3. CU- The big 3 should dominate but dont see a lot around them. Added another big in the recruiting game, but thats not really what they need.
4. UE- Harris, Ryan, and Holmes lead a solid roster. Like what the Jahr kid can bring but not sold on what they have coming in to help them out.
5. UNI- James Koch and Moran is a good core group. Solid recruiting class except the only big they added will not be able to bang down low as a true Fr. Do not like their 4/5 guys outside of Koch at all.
6. Ill St.- Nic Moore should bring stabilty to their point guard issues and they have some talented players returning.
7. Drake- Everyone back but Wedel, but he will not easily be replaced. Also a poor recruiting class.
8. SIU- Seck and Teague down low is a nice combo but guard play is an issue. Nice recruits coming in but no guards once again. Lowery out as well?
9. MSU- This is with the assumption that Weems goes pro. They lose almost every ounce of production from this years team and the fact that they only play 6-7 guys regularly tells you what they think about their bench. Good recruiting class with a couple impact guys but another issue is does Martin get out after this season? If I am him I do because even with Weems this team is no better than mid pack.
10. Bradley- Does Sam and Taylor come back next season? And are they the same players? 2 big questions to answer, but they lose Warren and Dunson off of an already terrible roster.. ouch

I forgot ISU red had Nic Moore coming in next year. If he's as good as advertised they should make a big move next year.

With the way Drake is playing now with a team dominated by freshman and sophomores, I'll say that I think a lot of people are underestimating the Bulldogs next season.
