Who cares? It would still probably be a net gain for the schools. Better scheduling= better shot at being a multibid league= more money. If one (or more) MVC teams advance in the tournament the amount will be much more than whatever any schools make for buy games. This would only be a positive development for the MVC if we're able to secure P5 opponents on more even terms even if only temporarily. If we take advantage and really make a name for ourselves during this time the arrangement could become more permanent.

Loyola gets a Home and Home with DePaul! Excellent get for the Ramblers! This is exciting! The Valley appears to be really scheduling up this year!

It's being reported but as yet unconfirmed by either school, that Missouri will play at Missouri State this year. If so, it will be the first time MU has come to Springfield since 1941, and the last game between the two schools was 1998, which Missouri State won at Columbia and is remembered in Bear's lore as the game Fontleroy just posterized Albert White with a slam over the top of him , course William could do that.
Anyway, I'm sure this would be the first game in a series as I'm sure we would owe 1 if not two games , although I'm hoping if it's 3 games total 1 could be in each home and the third in StL or KC. We'll see.
It is being said to be a 1:1 deal, but again no official word.

I would think that we'll see a lot more regional games in the next couple of years to reduce travel and cost.

According to ESPN the TVI (Team Value Index) that is critical to the NET ratings is most comparable to Strength of Record (SOR). So if we want to assess a team's at large chances we should look at their SOR. The best thing teams can do to make this metric is to win and win convincingly while challenging themselves whenever they can it would appear. I hope all MVC teams are doing that and right now the early returns look pretty promising. Most schedules look to be shaping up very well.

This is a women's game. The information references Jeff Walz, the women's coach at Louisville and Dana Evans, who is originally from Gary.

I hope the MVC has at least tried to do this... You have to think that Gonzaga would sign off on playing UNI or LUC, possibly Bradley...
