All are distances from VU’s campus.
Hemphill - Gary, IN (26 miles)
Wilkins - Merrillville, IN (17 miles)
Penn - Calumet City, IL (36 miles)
Murphy - Griffin, IN (23miles)

It’s good for the MVC if Drake can keep winning and actually make whatever version of the Dance takes place.

After tonight, it gets a little tougher for the next 5 games. LUC x2, @MSU x2, @UNI. Despite UNI's play of late, that's still a tough stretch.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Very impressive performance by Drake. They are the real deal, and took it to my Salukis. Loyola series should be a good one.

You don't yet to 13-0 by accident. This team is legitimate good, don't make mistakes, relentless on defense, and mature. They made the Salukis, a good ball team, look like an 8th grade B squad tonight.

Gotta love Drake! A good team wins even when they don't play their best. Drake did that today.

Its a lot of fun having interest in the Valley again, watched the game, will watch again tomorrow. Drake getting mentions all over sports broadcasting now. Dickie V giving Drake props during the Kansas Tennessee game yesterday. The bandwagon has lots more seats!

Drake is very good but I think Loyola is better.

I hope they both make The Dance, the MVC needs this badly. Who knows, there are numerous teams that could get hot and win Arch Madness, which would be fantastic. Drake and Loyola could do some damage IMO.

It's games like today's Bulldog/Redbird game that will make the Valley's NCAA representative(s) tourney ready. I didn't see Drake playing poorly today, I saw the Redbirds playing they best they could and giving the Bulldogs everything they could handle. Drake showed some real toughness in gutting this game out.

I agree that Drake didn't necessarily play poorly, but they shot 4-30 from 3-point range. This from a team that was shooting over 40% on the season. If the Bulldogs would have hit 3's at their average rate, it's a 20 point win. Also, having Hemphill out with foul trouble for 20 minutes makes the Bulldogs a whole different team.

I think Drake played pretty awful. Not just shooting. they couldn't handle the ball or do much else right. shooting 13% from three doesn't help.
