just found out the league changed the semi start times from the favorable 505, 805 schedule to a stupid noon, 3pm schedule. I have no idea why they wouldnt allow more rest after friday.....elgin cant go soon enough

I believe this decision is based on TV ---

Once the A10 switched there weekend it looks like they had priority with CBS Sports Network.

The schedule I looked at also shows the championship game on CBS Sports Network and not CBS on Sunday.

Hope that’s an error.

CBS listings still have:
11am Houston @ Memphis
1pm Missouri Valley Championship
330pm Michigan @ Michigan St

What about the team that wouldn't have gotten done playing until 10:30 Saturday night having to play at 1:00 on Sunday afternoon?

The A10 is taking a week between the semifinals and final. The final is still on Sunday 3/14 and in Dayton so that the winner can immediately enter the bubble in Indy.

Well actually the 8pm start means they finish at 10, but its even more unlikely that any thursday teams advance with that little time between games. maybe thats what they want this year...more chalk. Given the gulf between the top 4 and the rest of the league, this was highly doubtful anyway this year. I would have been fine with the usual 235, 505 tips for the semis. Noon starts are too early and no one tunes in on TV either until later in the day. More exposure at 5 and 8 then at noon and 3
