Roy Williams stepping down from NC. Might see more of this with these elder coaches who might come under greater recruiting scrutiny in the coming year[s] . Get out while the illusion of integrity still is somewhat intact.

Not saying he won't end up there (i hope he doesn't!), but Goodman said he's a candidate, big difference between that and finalist.

Over the course of the day we saw it go from "candidate", to "a leading candidate". The only other mentioned candidate, Grant Mccasland, just broke his social media silence tonight retweeting a hype video for his North Texas team next season. That would be a pretty dumb thing to do if there was any chance he was leaving. Still radio silence for Moser.

At the very least, things are heating up pretty quickly.

Unrelated, but I need to rant on this. This kid knows nothing. He continually pulls stuff that looks probable and claims "sources" as if he's some industry insider.

Last year, he was just some kid in the Valpo student section. Now, he writes incoherent articles with attention-seeking headlines and then tweets all the big MVC guys to read his garbage.

I've seen people citing this kid as a source. He is proof that a nobody can just start a blog, tweet 100 mph, and somehow stumble into a platform, no matter how often they’re wrong or have no idea what they’re talking about in their articles.

This isn’t to say Porter won’t take the OU job or anything - just that this kid is not credible and virtually everything he does is with the end goal of drawing attention to himself.

Throw a bunch of stuff at the wall. Then when one inevitably lands, you say you were right all along and try to get big national pundits to "credit" you as having it first. Incredibly annoying.

Yes, and this kid has been doing it over and over and over. And his stuff gets spread everywhere because most people aren’t familiar with his history. He’s incredibly irritating.

He was the one who started the Loyola-to-A10 thing (among other fake rumors) when he begged a dozen MVC twitter guys to read his “MVC is declining” article. That rumor then got posted to the Saluki board, which then spread to this board, and so on and so forth. It’s all about attention for him - so he continually claims sources for false rumors and posts hot takes.

He’s the most destructive force in the league on social media.

Gotta love that some Valpo kid would have "multiple sources" inside Loyola. I shouldn't have given his blog clicks but it was pretty amusing.

I also saw some other rando at Loyola try to break the news that Moser told the team he was staying put last week, that rumor also gained alot of traction for being utterly irreputable.

For big conferences, this junk gets buried under a bunch of real coverage. In the MVC, it's far too easy for this crap to find the spotlight.
