Missouri State = MVC Football Champs

Will be co-champs with a couple other teams it looks like, and remain on the bubble for the FCS Playoffs, but still simply amazing . Crazy year and we'll have to see how everything rolls over to next fall, but we ain't doormats anymore in football. Shows what a coach means in collegiate sports.

Hopefully for the Bears, Petrino is toxic enough that somebody else won't come calling but you just can't trust that to be the case for a desperate Sun Belt or CUSA program.

That said, kind of fun to see them back there. I remember what a big deal 'Bear Week' was at UNI in the early 90s. Refreshing to see a non-Dakota up towards the top.

I think he stays at least a couple more years. One, he's being paid 14 million by Louisville over several seasons.Two , he's got half his family involved in Bear's football including a son, and son in law. Kinda think he wants to get the program to a high level, turn it over to son while it's winning and hope son can parlay that into a good opening in FBS. But to think you know what Petrino is thinking could prove foolhardy. I like to believe in redemption, but I don't bet the house on it.

Well, just amazing. The MVC football league gets 5 teams in the playoff including "THE BEARS". Bobby fing Petrino gets done in a pandemic shortened and impacted year what no MSU football team had done in 31 years. Just amazing. :Cheers:

All 5 teams deserved to get in. Just a brutal conference, and quite frankly the SEC of the FCS.

4\5 MVFC teams advance today in the National playoffs. What a finish to the Weber State\ Saluki game! Big road win for the Dawgs! SIU was without 3 of their best players, and we're able to win it after being down early.

It appears the MVC got a couple of P5 QBs from Minnesota to transfer in.

2018 Zack Annexstad (IMG, Florida) 3-star to Illinois State -2 yrs eligibility

2019 Jacob Clark (Rockwall, Texas) 4-star to Missouri State - 3 yrs eligibility
