Again, it's incumbent on coaches to create programs where guys don't leave which starts with being honest with kids from the moment you start recruiting them.

Being honest with a kid your recruiting doesn't have anything to do with what's going on now.
Let's take Drakes player Joeph Yosafu,probably spelled wrong.He has a breakout end of the year run
in the mvc and ncaa tournament and all these power 5 schools start chirping in his ear about leaving
for the promise land.

Evansville's Alex Mathews is transferring to Gulf Coast State College
Valpo's Sigurd Lorange is off to Converse.

Second hand, but my understanding on Ridder is he's not pursuing additional basketball opportunities. If true, kinda fits, he always struck me as that kid who was tall and naturally talented, but didn't have a great passion for the game. Not that he was lazy or anything like that, just wasn't his only priority. He also had alot of problems with his shoulder. But you never know, he could easily change his mind if a good situation arose.

Gholson was a walk-on who will end up at a D2, or more likely D3 school if he plays at all.

Indiana State's Randy Miller Jr. has entered the portal. Averaged a little over 6ppg last season with the Trees and over 14ppg at NC Central a couple years ago.
