It’s hard enough to get more than one bid to the NCAA tournament right now as a league, so if we are going to expand, then they had better be damn good expansion candidates who can help give us more bids. Otherwise, forget it. I don’t see Texas Arlington being that strong of a candidate. Belmont and Murray state would be the only two real options to consider IMO.

Won't happen because of football. SLU makes the most sense but won't happen. Similarly, I still think Dayton would be great but they are both delusional about the Big East.

I don't think it's crazy to see the Big East add one more to go to 12. Being Catholic schools that are good at basketball help a lot.

Someone on Shockernet is saying second best option behind MWC is the Valley if the AAC adds a bunch of crap basketball schools which appears likely. They don't seem to want the A-10. Big East isn't realistic yet. They are also happy with the MVC pickups.

Imagine if we could lure them back in if the AAC cant add anyone good then maybe they could help get Dayton. If we get one of those then that weakens the A-10 and its possible then that SLU comes. The ball keeps rolling and those 3 big adds could maybe lure Creighton back. Maybe Butler or Marquette after that. Now, all that won't happen but I'd be happy just getting Wichita and Dayton. it would eliminate travel expenses because everyone i mentioned is west of dayton and east of Wichita

There is a 0% chance of getting a Big East school. They're in a basketball only league full of peer universities with an East Coast sized TV contract.

That's the same reason that Dayton, Richmond, VCU or SLU aren't ever going anywhere other than where they are. They'll wait forever in the A10 for the slim chance it gets them a Big East invite.

I was with you until Creighton. LOL. I like the thought that if Wichita comes back, then SLU and Dayton become interested. That would be a hell of a league. Easy multibid every year. Don't see it happening at all, but its an interesting thought. 15 team conference tournament, anyone?
