I would say somewhat tougher with the addition of Belmont. I took a look at their team roster, they look like they belong in The Valley (Missouri that is)!

Seems everything is quiet on Murray joining. I guess I'm partial on Murry joining since it's closer to UE.

My guess is the football piece is the holdup. . .that's a second hoop they have to jump through. While it's not necessary everything be resolved at once, if a football league move is imminent, I can see the school wanting to wait until those pieces are in place, just to avoid answering all those potentially unsettled questions in a presser.

Just an FYI, one of our Board Of Regents members is football alumni, guaranteed we aren’t going anywhere without football being taken care of.

Ideally they come in for everything else next year and then for football in 2026 but they aren't going to find a league that's going to take football alone for that period of time and building an independent schedule in the FCS would be damn near impossible.

It's probably too late to add for football for next year because everybody is already selling tickets.

My guess is that we play with 11 next year and Murray joins in everything in 2023-24.

They can't just work something out with the OVC as a temporary arrangement? or the Southland? Or the Big South? Why can't we just trade WIU for Murray State between the MVFC and the OVC and everybody's happy? Just have WIU play Murray's OVC schedule and have Murray play WIU's MVFC schedule. I know I'm a fan of an (essentially) non football private school (PFL is barely a step above not having football at all) but the prospect that FCS football is holding up the league's progress in basketball is very annoying.
