Because institutional calendars are done two years out.

Homecomings and Family Weekends and other special events are already scheduled.

You've also already got schools selling tickets on next year's schedule.

It's just a logistical nightmare at this point.

More and more Wichita fans are saying go back to the Valley. That would be wonderful if we scooped them up and because of it we were able to convince Dayton.

Murray on the other hand, can’t say that they are committed to basketball and football, neither can Valpo obviously. The fact that you’d rather travel to KY and TN than Sioux Falls and Fargo is your decision, but it has nothing to do with commitment, fanbases, quality athletics. It’s simply shows your lack of knowledge.

Basketball budgets
1. Loyola $6,194,444
2. Bradley $3,555,837
3. Evansville $3,231,007
4. Missouri St $3,070,453
5. UNI $3,024,333
6. Drake $2,696,222
7. Valpo $2,693,562
8. Illinois St $2,209,131
9. SIU $2,127,894
10. Indiana St $2,055,794
-- MVC Current Average Budget $3.08M --
$2,688,559.00 Belmont
$1,957,966.00 Murray State
$1,541,048.00 North Dakota St

Belmont pays Casey Alexander $800,000, paying top dollar to lure him away from Lipscomb.
Murray State pays Matt McMahon $500,000.
NDSU pays David Richman $195,000.

NDSU does not appear to have basketball commitment anywhere near the MVC. What am I missing?

The last data I saw was NDSU basketball was 1.8, and paying coach 230k. Good coach is a bargain at this point. By 2025 budget will build to 2.5.
