Which of these team would you be okay with joining the MVC?

I was completely against UTA, but I looked into what they've done as a program over the past 10 years and they are really starting to grow on me. Besides the travel, they'd be a way better add than either UIC or UMKC, who haven't done much of anything.

How about letting the rest of us in on your comparison research as to how UTA is a better add for you than UIC. If you have better info than the 360 degree video...please share.

IMO, this is or was one of the sticking points for the Expansion Committee (alongside the Murray football issue): "Do we just invite large market schools to possibly help with regular student recruitment and forsake a consistently good basketball school that could help raise the profile of our league"? This is of course if the MVC just goes to 12.

Rumor is unless Murray State finds another football conference, they won't be joining the MVC and even then they might not have the votes.

Murray State football will be in the MVFC whether you or anyone else likes it or not. It's not at all complicated to get them in. If the Dakota schools are the problem, all the MVC (who actually runs the MVFC) has to do is say "Look, if you don't accept Murray State, the MVC (not MVFC) is going to sponsor football and invite YSU and WIU as FB-Only members."

Heck at this point I think the MVC could realistically get EIU and SEMO in as FB-Only members too, since the OVC would be down to 5 (below AQ) if the Racers leave.

It doesn’t exist. Matt Brown, who has been the go-to source at every step of MVC expansion since last spring, has never indicated anything about a MVFC vote. Matt Brown or no Matt Brown, there hasn’t been one report.

If you check that poster’s history, he’s a Saluki fan with a massive stick up his ass over Murray. He has an ax to grind, and keeps repeating nonsense there’s no reliable source for because it suits his agenda.

There are two schools that would really take some convincing for Murray to get into the MVFC (UNI and Missouri State) but there hasn't been a vote and there won't be one until the dust settles.

Ideally, the OVC/Southland football only league happens and takes care of Murray Football.
