Bulldogs down to 8 healthy scholarship players, and one of them has been playing the entire season on a broken foot.

Just once would like to see Drake get through a season without multiple major injuries.

That's just awful for the kid. Absolutely hate to see injuries this time of year or any time for that matter. Hopefully surgery and rehab go well!

Not to derail but the injuries have really piled up since Darian has been there, might be time to take a hard look at the Strength and Conditioning program and Training staffs. Might be dumb luck but when you start to see it over and over, its definitely worth a good hard look.

Muller had a TON of injuries. Fans always thought it was just bad luck but I've heard recently that he would run the hell out of his teams (which makes sense since most were incredibly undisciplined) that would lead to foot/ankle injuries.

Drake has certainly had bad luck in that department as well. Norton, McGlynn, Wilkins, Penn, Hemphill all in the last couple of years.

Loyola will almost certainly have an annual game with a Valley school, it's just likely to be UIC given they play very frequently already. I dont know how many additional Valley vs. Loyola non-con games would make sense for the athletic departments.

Well it won’t be the 9th place A10 team.

9 years in the Valley and Bradley finished ahead of Loyola exactly one time in the regular season (the first year). Give it a rest dude - its weird. Its not like fans, players, and coaches went around trash talking the valley for years like Wichita state fans did. Some of our current hoops players have even been vocal about loving the valley and how it doesn’t get the respect it deserves.

Almost every Loyola fan I know is conflicted about the move - institutionally we fit better, academically(not a shot, they’re just mostly private/Jesuit) , most of the arenas are a bit smaller, there’s no football (outside UMASS), yes there’s travel, but the schools made that investment…. But at the same time…. it’s the Valley!! Great league, great players, good people, a classic tournament. The league has been great for us and helped us grow a ton… we built some fun rivalries in a short time. I’ve def soured a bit by some of the talk that goes a bit beyond friendly banter/dunking but gotta remember it’s just a few fans and that the whole of the Valley has been awesome and such an underrated league!

I’ll miss it and will continue to follow it closely! I really hope we pick up a series or two down the line, games against UNI make too much sense!! Year after year we were good for 1 or 2 classic games.

Also total side note, but that freaking SUCKS for Wilkins. Isn’t the second time he’s missed arch because of a late injury???

A game to the level of the 2004 Title Game for a CBS audience seems like a pretty good deal for the league.

That was the last one on ESPN on Monday Night and it's a shame it wasn't in that CBS slot.

I’m just giving you s*** because I don’t like the talking down to the Valley on your board and elsewhere. I know you think it’s creepy to read other teams’ message boards in the league I follow, I disagree. I don’t hate Loyola and get the move. I sincerely hope your fans are treated respectfully (and that the Braves unceremoniously blow the Blers out of the MVC)

Most fan bases generally head back home after the Saturday slate nowadays. I can’t imagine how empty the Final was back when it was on a Monday night.

I don't think it's creepy to follow other teams boards ; I do it daily, but I never respond on their boards, which I'm assuming neither does Mikovio. I think fan bases should have the freedom to talk more openly on their own boards w/o having to combat outside input, that's why it's a home board. But, that doesn't mean what gets said on a home board is off limits for comment on a community board like this. I generally don't unless someone is being disingenuous by saying one thing here, but floating a whole different boatload of comments elsewhere. Much of my perception of posters here is based on the consistency between what they say here and what they say on their home boards. If you say it, it doesn't matter where you said it, it's still out there and open for rebuttal. But you don't carry an argument into someone else's home [ board] .Just my thoughts.
