Whether we are in conversation or whether we aren't , the point is, it's not the University that is saying these things , so basically we have no control on it being tweeted, reported, or conjectured about. The only statement by the University regarding anything related to moving is that "we like the Valley, it's the SEC of FCS football , and it's a great basketball league ". That and " we are in great position and simply want to monitor the ongoing realignment news so we can be prepared if an opportunity we like presents itself". Frankly, if at least 3-4 other Universities in this conference aren't doing the same, you'd have to ask, why not. Obviously, Loyola was , and they didn't make any formal statements either, till it was a done deal.
Personally, I hope we hang with the MVC and hope that a football solution presents itself for all the upper level FCS programs along with the G-5.
