This game has proven that.

100%. Probably the dirtiest player in the league. After what he did to Penn at the end of the game, I was glad they lost. He’s a thug.

Apparently he complained in the post-game press conference about the officials deciding the game. I think he might have benefited a little from the officiating himself. But I might be just a little bit biased.

Seriously, he got away with 2-3 elbows to the head. Even if they weren't intentional, surprised they weren't reviewed.

So a thug and a whiner? That's a bad combo! :+1:

Real chance the best player in school history won't ever play in the NCAA Tournament. What a shameful statement.

AJ Green shot 8/25 (2020) and 4/20 (2022) in the 2 biggest games of his career though. Nothing against him - outstanding regular season player - but players like Tuttle and Washpun could will their teams in games like this.

This is all the more reason for Green and anyone else with extra eligibility to come back and try again next year. If they do UNI should be loaded and dangerous without the early season struggles which should make them a legitimate contender not only for the MVC title but also to possibly be a factor for an at large bid.

Speaking of potential at large bids We got some bad news North Carolina beating Duke on the road really helps their case and could be enough to get them in with just one ACC Tournament win. I still think it's BS that any team with a 2-7 record in Q1 is even considered but that's life. We also got some good news: Thank God Murray State held off Morehead for the OVC title preserving an at large spot from being eaten up by the Racers. Zooming in on the conference picture itself I think the MVC got the best possible outcome for a potential two bid Valley as things stand right now even though Missouri State is 22 spots higher in the NET. Drake winning this game (coupled with a potential win over Loyola) could push Loyola's losses up a quadrant making it so the Ramblers wouldn't have a single loss outside the top two quadrants which should help their at large case. I'm nervous about this year's bubble. It feels like we would need a lot to go right in order to get two bids just like last year we got like almost every single right outcome imaginable and Drake was still just the last team in. Loyola's numbers are better than Drake's were last year if it comes down to an at large for them but I don't know if I trust the committee to do right by the Ramblers.

Bottom line I just want whatever is best for the conference. If we can get two bids then I'll be cheering for Drake if it's not likely that Loyola can get an at large then I hope Loyola wins as they are the most capable of making a run. Drake could definitely win a game as well though. This is going to be an exciting final.

Hope for a San Francisco win over BYU tonight in the WCC tournament, USF is Loyola’s best win so them winning helps LUC’s numbers, and BYU was listed as last team in in a recent bracket by Lunardi, so the lose could push them out.
Let’s go Drake tomorrow

I don’t think there are many people who think that Loyola can get an at large at this point. However, I think it’s a moot point because they will win tomorrow. I fully expect we get at least two bid next year, though.

Loyola is an NCAA tourney team. No way there are 30 something at large teams better than them right now in college basketball. No way.

Are they selling tickets at the window this year?

I think the NET number makes it a near lock (last four) no matter what happens tomorrow but I have been wrong before. Or the 11 seed with a win.

NET matters until the selection committee doesn't want it to matter.
