Not trying to nitpick but Missouri State is not an 8, they did not seed beyond the first 4 in each region. Looks like they tried to go with interesting regional matchups in place of a truly seeded style of bracket.

I don’t understand the seeding at all. MoSt and Belmont had better records than Vandy and OU yet they have to play away?

Pretty cool Porter has to play a Valley team again. I’ll be the biggest Bear fan that day.

NIT seeds the top 4 then get matched up, geographically (regardless of "seed" of the opponent).

Yeah, no seeding beyond top 4. I think the Bears to OK and UNI to STL just made more sense geographically than sending either UNI or MSU to Colorado and St. Bonaventure to OKC.

I'm not sure if I'm Oklahoma that I'm happy to have MSU first round being disappointed to not make the Dance.

Better than what? One erroneous call in one game cost them first place and an auto NIT bid. Obviously nobody else wanted them and they want to play.
