Tbf a Cinderella 15 is probably more dangerous than a 2 in the second round. I was really nervous for y’all and I was (unfortunately) right. I had y’all losing to red hot (ha ha to me) VT in the Sweet 16 but I had you beating Kentucky in the second round.

It's not haters, it's one person who has earlier admitted some sort of long ago beef with Murray State. Everyone else on this board will at least wait until Murray earns some ridicule.

Some SIU fans have an inferiority complex with Murray State. Think some are scared that Murray is gonna come in and hurt SIU more. For me, if SIU can't handle Murray State, then they need to consider other options. I want what's best for the Valley and SIU needs to step their game up both in athletics and the overall school.

How so? Because they ran the table in one of the worst conferences in college basketball? It could easily be argued they would not have beaten San Fran this year had their top big guy, who was injured, played the game. To boot, they then had the luxury of playing a 15 seed, by virtue of Calapari’s prima donnas taking the night off. But this is conjecture, let’s stick to facts. The facts are, in spite of multiple trips to NCAAs,(because they were the biggest fish in a small pond) they have never made it to the second round, which virtually every other MVC has accomplished. Those are the facts, and to quote Mark Twain, “facts are stubborn things”. And yes, I don’t like Murray State at all, ask Murray fans why SIU AD cancelled them in upcoming football games a while back, institutional thuggery is best way to describe it. Oh, by the way, according to their fans, St Peters won because of the refs!! Very amusing.

I guess you missed it when one of Murray's starting guards was injured in the first two minutes of that game and missed the rest of the tournament. It could easily be argued that Murray would have performed better had he been available against Saint Peter's.

No, Murray State will not come in and dominate the MVC. The whole point of leaving the OVC was to get better competition and help it raise its profile a bit. And I trust the leaders of the MVC knew what they were doing when they chose Murray for membership. Because, for one thing, they weren't burdened by a childish, long-held grudge against an entity that should probably have been let go long ago. But, hey, you do you.
