Bears complete staff

Coach Dana Ford has completed filling his staff with the promotion of Jace Herl to Associate HC, the hiring of former Nebraska staff member Bertram [Buzzy] Caruthers III to an assistant coaching spot and the appointment of former SIU HC and recent Associate HC at Kansas ST, Chris Lowery to Special Assistant to the Head Coach . I like that move, Ford has needed a veteran voice to help him .

Lowery will definitely help to bring out the best in Ford. That's quite a coup for the Bears to add one of the top 10 basketball coaches in the country to their staff.

FYI.....William Hill has still not adjusted the odds on the Bears to win next year's title after this move. Just placed $500 on them to win $750,000.

I really like Caruthers, but I don't think he's a top 10 coach. :roll:

Amazingly he has been available for ten years and nobody has snapped him up as their head coach.
