Bears pick up commit from Link Academy in Branson ; 6'3 pg Damien Mayo has committed to the Bears. Mayo who played at Chaminade in St Louis previously, followed HS teammate and Michigan commit Tarris Reed to Branson last year. He averaged 13 ppg, 5rbs, 4 assists at Chaminade as a jr. Really like this kid, 6'3 , physical , best attributes are his defense, rebounding and he plays hard. Combo guy looking to play pg at the d-1 level. 3 star with previous offers from SLU, Pepperdine, SIU Edwardsville among others. 247 Sports Eric Bossey describes Mayo as "pound for pound , one of the hardest playing and most competitve players in the 2022 class".
